Series name: The Walking Dead
Canon notes: S7x14 - The Other Side
Species: Human
History: http://walkingdead.wikia.com/wiki/Maggie_Greene_(TV_Series)
Personality: Maggie, from the first, is more than just a flirty and opinionated farm girl. She is passionate about life. More than that she does not want to be content just to survive. She wants to live. That means placing roots down somewhere someday and living her life, however possible.
Maggie is stubborn in her belief that there is more to life than survival. She is stubborn in her belief that taking the easy way out is not an option, no matter what. She doesn't give up, no matter her losses and carries that emotional strength with her through any storm that needs to be weathered. Maggie has lost her family: Her father, step mother, sister, and brother since the outbreak began and that alone is enough to break anyone, namely through experiencing the horrific ways her father and sister died by human hands. Her relationship with her sister and father was strong enough that their deaths shattered her the most and for a time it caused her to lose her religious faith.
Maggie is more than just a kind and good Christian girl. She cares for those around her fiercely, even strangers that may or may not deserve it. This also means she isn't afraid to tell those around her what is right and what is wrong, as well as admitting when she is wrong herself. When she first meets Glenn and his group, she is the first to tell her father that they need help and that they deserve to be there. She is also the one who berates Lori for using Glenn to be her errand boy amid her personal drama, instead of confronting the problem herself. She berates Glenn for not sticking up for himself more and being the strong and brave person that she sees. To her he is so much more than a pizza boy.
Maggie is a forgiving person in many ways. After what the Governor did to her father and to the rest of the residents of the prison, Maggie finds out that Tara, a new arrival to the group, was one of his people, but chooses to forgive her for her involvement. It doesn't hurt that she kept Glenn safe and helped him get back to her.
One of Maggie's greatest attributes, and a recurring one, is her faith. However, she is very much a realist. She knows that out there people can be just as cruel as any walker and doesn't forget that. She also, during a crisis of faith, is no-nonsense when it comes to those who would prefer to take wishful thinking (such as Father Gabriel) over cold hard fact. Maggie isn't afraid of confrontation and is careful not to show fear, even to men or women who might harm or kill her. She is far from the frail and trembling sort when it comes to danger and those she loves.
Unfortunately - Maggie's forgiving nature and faith have both waivered again since recent events involving Glenn's murder at the hands of Negan. Not even Beth or Hershel's deaths had the effect on Maggie that Glenn's has shown. Maggie has shown a growing appetite for vengeance and bloodshed, but she has also shown that she knows there is a time or place for it.
She is nicknamed "The Widow" by Negan and this seems to be apt as Maggie has become somewhat a black widow, ready to take vengeance and destroy her enemies at the first opportunity. She shows no mercy shooting a hostage when he tries to push her, calling her "Cupcake" before promptly having his brains blown out.
Abilities: Maggie is skilled in first aid to a point. Her father was a veterinarian and as such she learned from him enough to be able to deliver a human child successfully. She grew up on a farm and knows how to handle animals as a result. Most importantly to the apocalypse, Maggie is skilled in firearms use and maintenance. She is a skilled negotiator and leader.
